The first of New Live CE Webinars is coming on August 27, 2014
The College is proud to present an all new series of live webinars focusing on current hot button financial topics and taught by our lead professors.
The first webinar in this series is Tips for Selecting Social Security Benefits by Professor Sam Van Why.
Description: With the tsunami already starting with baby boomers at or approaching retirement age, the importance of Social Security is magnified with the loss in value of our 401(k) accounts or IRAs from the stock meltdowns in 2002 and 2008. Social Security is providing roughly 40% of the income for those over 65. Selecting the wrong benefit option may be costing participants thousands and thousands of dollars over their 20 or 30 or more years of retirement. We will first review concepts and rules pertaining to retirement benefits under Social Security, then analyze how they fit together to provide options for your clients, and then see how we can assist clients in selection of the option that will best meet their objectives.
The webinar will be held on 8/27/14 at 11:30AM (MDT). The cost is only $10 and completion of the webinar is worth 1 CE credit.
