Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM or AWMA®
Professional Designation Program
Mention wealth management to your financially successful clients and they’ll have definite ideas about the real-world experience, sophisticated advice, and strategic guidance they expect from their advisor. You’ll find these topics covered in the AWMA® program. With this designation in your arsenal of knowledge you’ll be able to help clients capitalize on opportunities to preserve, grow, and transfer their wealth.
Your skills—augmented with knowledge from this program—will help you address complex financial issues faced by affluent clients. You’ll gain the confidence to optimize clients’ investments to achieve their goals while minimizing investment volatility.
Plus, you’ll be able to address clients’ ever-changing financial needs with:
- Wealth strategies
- Equity-based compensation plans
- Tax reduction alternatives
- Asset protection alternatives
Most students complete their studies within 2 months. The AWMA® program may allow you to earn 45–50 hours of continuing education credit with some organizations.
Starting January 1, 2010, the College will require new students enrolling in our professional designation programs (AAMS®, AWMA®, CMFC®, CRPC®, CRPS®, and RP®) to take their end-of-course examination at a licensed testing center. The examination fee is $100 per test and is collected at the time of enrollment. Please contact us with any questions, 1-800-237-9990 x 3
The curriculum is based on a client-centered, problem-solving method using case studies to give you a hands-on approach to the material. Also included are open-ended, multiple-choice, and case analysis related questions to help you prepare for the exam and equip you with knowledge to help your clients. The College's highly qualified, full-time faculty is available via telephone, e-mail, and fax to support you in your studies.
