Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM or CRPS®
Professional Designation Program
As retirement plan options evolve and tax complexities increase, many companies seek professional plan administrators to design, install, and maintain their company retirement plans. Firms of all sizes recognize the unique skills needed to implement and oversee these internal retirement plans—skills within your reach with a Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM designation.
Your CRPS® mark will set you apart from other advisors with the knowledge to recommend implementation techniques that can be executed into well-structured, company-appropriate retirement plans. Plus, you’ll be able to effectively administer retirement plans for businesses and their employees.
ASPPA and the QPFC
CRPS® designees now receive credit towards the QPFC designation from ASPPA. Graduates automatically receive credit for completing the first two of four sections needed to earn the designation. Additional information on the QPFC program can be found at http://www.asppa.org/Document-Vault/Docs/EE/CFFP.aspx.
In addition, the College for Financial Planning will be providing online instructor-led MENTOR classes for the QPFC. Contact us for a complete schedule and pricing.
Upcoming Online MENTOR Class Schedule
Most students complete their studies within 2 months. The CRPS® Program will allow you to earn up to 3 semester credit hours toward a bachelor's degree and between 45–47 hours of continuing education credit with some organizations.
Starting January 1, 2010, the College will require new students enrolling in our professional designation programs (AAMS®, AWMA®, CMFC®, CRPC®, CRPS®, and RP®) to take their end-of-course examination at a licensed testing center. The examination fee is $100 per test and is collected at the time of enrollment. Please contact us with any questions, 1-800-237-9990 x 3
The curriculum is based on a client-centered, problem-solving method using case studies to give you a hands-on approach to the material. Also included are open-ended, multiple-choice, and case analysis related questions to help you prepare for the exam and equip you with knowledge to help your clients. The College's highly qualified, full-time faculty is available via telephone, e-mail, and fax to support you in your studies.
