Foundations in Financial Planning Program
for
Registered ParaplannerSM or RP®
Professional Designation

This program is ideal for frontline employees in the financial services industry, particularly as the industry evolves and becomes more complex. Students will gain basic, practical knowledge of the financial planning process and the five disciplines of financial planning.

Students will be introduced to different product categories, essential terminology, and general concepts applicable to financial planning. Completing the Foundations in Financial Planning course and a three-month internship will allow you to earn the right to use the Registered ParaplannerSM or RP® mark.

Upcoming Online MENTOR Class Schedule

Most students complete their studies within 2 months. The Foundations in Financial Planning Program may also allow you to earn up to 3 semester credit hours toward a bachelor's degree and between 45–53 hours of continuing education credit with some organizations.

The curriculum is based on a client-centered, problem-solving method using case studies to give you a hands-on approach to the material. Also included are open-ended, multiple-choice, and case analysis related questions to help you prepare for the exam and equip you with knowledge to help your clients. The College's highly qualified, full-time faculty is available via telephone, e-mail, and fax to support you in your studies.
